Conveying, storage and dispatch of potato protein

It is a semi-automatic line where a potato protein is analyzed at the line input (moisture and protein components are measured) and contaminated particles (iron, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals) and oversized particles are removed from it using separators and a sorting screen. Non-conforming, contaminated and oversized protein is stored in a big-bag or barrels.

The suitable protein is pneumatically conveyed to an intermediate silo with filter (ATEX design), where the exact amount of protein is dosed into the weighed silo using a rotary feeder (controlled by a frequency converter). The operator in the dispatch hall is informed with the help of a beacon and acoustic signalling that the required amount of protein has been weighed. The weighed dosage of protein is then emptied from silo into a suspended big-bag which is located on a roller conveyor and on which commercial weighing takes place and then the big-bag is dispatched.

The line is made of stainless steel 17 240 (AISI 304).
