Pneumatic conveying of sand and bentonite

The goal of this project was to supply a new high pressure pneumatic conveying system of sand, bentonite and additives. It was a part of the planned construction project aimed at modernization and greening the existing operation of the ferrous metal foundry TATRA METALURGIE, a.s.

Bentonite moulding mixtures for steel and cast iron moulds are now prepared in central moulding mixture treatment plant, which has undergone modification and modernization with the aim to ensure the better operation.

Part of this Work was to supply the pneumatic conveying system of sand, bentonite and additives from existing concrete tanks with volume of 500 m3. The scope of supplies and works was 3 separate pneumatic conveying systems including pipe distribution, filtration and silo accessories.
